just saw this...PM sent
Got it! Thanks!
Algae bloom is back, nasty!!
Just curious why a lake report should be pm'd?
Just how bad is the algae?
I've fished with moderate algae and it never seemed to hurt fishing much. Of course, in the summer, I was always trolling deeper water with double-minnow rigs. I always did well doing that this time of year.
I'm tempted to try East Fork when I go fishing this Friday. I haven't been there in about 15 months.

I think this is what Bassky is talking about. I took these pics bac in mid-June. You can still get some fish but the water was pretty nasty looking.
I was at the lake the other day from shore and I didn't see any on the algae sitting on top but the water is pretty darn green. Was worse than Cowan, Paint Creek or Rocky Fork.

Thanks. That's terrible looking. They need to do something about this. Seems it's every single year anymore.
MBK...water looks nasty but I don't see why your method of fishing wouldn't prove effective. Lake was up 8' yesterday morning from all the rain so you may want to give it a few days to get back down to summer pool and settle down a little.
oops...went up another 5'+ last night so it'll be a while.
Going Thursday, just saw it is backtrack to summer pool. Any reports on crappie, pattern?
Thanks Bassky
Bassky...it is not back down to summer pool. Lake was still up 9.6' this morning. It's come down about 4' in the last 2 days.
Louisville District Daily Lake Report
I went by there around lunch and the Bantam/Tate ramp is closed at the top of the hill. I'm betting the parking lot is still under water.
The ramp at the dam is open, it's on Slade Rd. You may consider it down to one lane since there is a pretty big piece of drift laying over one side of the approach.
Hopefully somebody comes out and removes it to open the other lane.
At this time of year most summer patterns will work.
You are right. I drove by there Tuesday and dam ramp dock under water and 2 big logs at ramp. Today it is 5.7 ' above summer pool and they are still pulling hard. Might go tomorrow am.

Tate, Afton, Campground Ramps should have opened today I would think. I talked to a guy yesterday and he said Macedonia Ramp didn't close at all but I'm never up that way so I really wouldn't know.
No sure yet but I may show up tomorrow too.
Went Friday. Lake was up 4-5', pulling water hard. Caught 30 crappie, 6 keepers. Fish were scattered, caught them 7'- 18' deep, on jigs, float/minnow, and dead lining. Water temps, 76. Lost my swivelez motor toter at dam dock, if anyone finds one.
