One Proud Papa
My wife and little'uns spent two hours picking up trash at the Ross Barnett Reservoir Spillway this morning. Boy they make me proud sometimes! Sure can't wait to be home again.
Also, the have agreed to shut down all fishing and boat launching at the Spillway indefinitely in 60 days if the fisherman there keep littering like they do. I will be out there each week while I am home surveying the trash situation and picking up. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...172777bd96.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02f0e4d0db.png

Sad we as fisherman have to depend on two sweet little girls to keep our public use areas clean. Glad they are helping out! Raising them right, maybe the fishermen and women will take care of their own garbage from now on!

Thanks guys! I really have to hand it to my wife for this one. I found the group that was doing the cleanup of The Rez and Pearl River. I told her I was going to volunteer while I was home and she went ahead and went the week before I returned.
As far as I know, we are meeting once a week to pick up trash around the lake. The PRVWSD is going to decide on closing the Spillway and some ramps/areas around the lake if the trash problem isn't resolved. Surprisingly, there weren't many fisherman there. I will be representing with my c.com gear next week! If anyone is interested, shoot me a line and I will get you the information. Here is the result of the cleanup. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f3cd04ca35.png
