How about a Perch jerk

Jun 23rd on Lake Wylie at Ebenezer Park @ 0600. Meet up in parking lot and make plans of attack, then launch out, return about 12 noon. May be able to have lunch in the shelter area :dono just yet. Got ideas throw them out here. Everyone's welcome! We haven't had a good one in a long time so come on out and enjoy the company and catch some perch and help rid Lake Wylie of those evil perch! We may even have a guest visit from the well know perch jerker himself: Owner of the navy seal blue attack minnows, Uncle Remus! Jumping Jacks Icon. Make plans and come on up or over and out for some fun.:fish

I'm up for it, the only thing that might hold me up is the Operation North State event that was canceled because of this week's bad weather. they haven't set a new date yet

Sounds good to me. Friday works good too. I'll bring my own minnows this time unless I can get some of the Blue Attack minners from Remus. Got a new homemade super aerator minner bucket I need to break in.

I took Remus's last platoon of minnows before his surgery and I don't know if he has any new recruits yet! :popcorn

BigDawgg, If uncle Remus is cleared to go then I will be his first mate!!! Were both out of practice so we will be needing all of the blue attack minnow's we can get!!!

You might have you Blue attack minnows. I have my cutbait marinated in a sauce that has been handed down from generations.

Hope to have a secret weapon of my own by then. We putting CK in charge of sniffing out the perch hangouts by then. Hopin for the Dawgg to be able to get out of the house for a little while. Lets get ready to whoop some perch booty !

I hate to say it since I started the thread but I'm not going to be there. Got plans with MIL and the kids if all goes right. We'll be out of town. You'll need to watch out for Uncle Remus and fishfinder 8, They may seem rusty as a nail from not being out there lately but I know both of them will put the smack down on you if your not looking.:biggrin

Dawwg , You got some good info there. I saw a cerain fellow out today searching for the honey holes. Word is he may just sneak in on us Fri. Mr. Charles was puttin the smack on em also. Saw Everrett and Monk at the ramp. They showed off on the brush piles again. Pretty sure my secret weapon will be onboard when the time comes.And I did find a few monster schools of perch this a.m. by the way.

Haven't talked to Everett today but he said yesterday, that the day timers were getting on the crappie pretty regular. I hate I'm going to miss this turn out. I hope everyone catches a boat load of perch. Glad you were able to find a few schools of perch. :highfive

John, Getting a couple prizes together would be nice for the first jerk for most of the guys. As far as eating not much of anything available where boats can fit in the parking lots. So I'd say bring a pot luck lunch for the picnic area and you'll shoot the breeze there. Hope you'll get a large amount of fish. :highfive I know your secret weapon. :Rofl:highfive

Hope you guys catch a bunch, I'll be working. May have to fish Wylie one night soon.

Clarification on lunch for Fridays Perch jerk. Everyone bring your own lunch and we will sit down at an empty shelter eat then hit the road. All after weigh in and prizes.
