I'm surprised they showed up that good! I have some PVC in Wylie and do manage a couple here and there. I haven't caught them on it like you would on a wood brush pile. Thanks for the picture and info!:cheers2
Vertical jig over them, use a bobby garland on a 1/32 head, Thats the way I fish all the time, put 54 in the boat this morning before lunch doing that, they are on fire right now , brush is real good right now.
I have found a lot of pvc with my HDS , but pvc doesn't hold crappie like wood or cane...
That one on the right has crappie on it!
crappie will hang over structure like that.....The crappie are on structure in 12 to 18 feet right now. That looks like 2 of them close together on the right, thats why there is more fish on them, the ones out by them self is not enough structure to hold a lot of fish. I see a few fish on each one. When you see a spot light up like that one on the right, start fishing!
pretty much what CBNC said. Ive been playing around some on Mt island the last few weeks.
In MY OPINION, i think mt island is a little behind the other lakes as far as the pattern is concerned (especially the upper end). They have been running the water non stop, and from the bend on up the water temp has been a solid 5+ degrees cooler.
No fish... but I did catch one on Norman.
Of course I marked it for further review.

Fished Mountain Island today and tried the PVC again with no luck. Found a tough 8 crappie, kept 5 for dinner, all were on wood. Couldn't get a bite on PVC, As before, marked what I thought were crappie over PVC but couldn't get any fish.
