Prayers for Bill

Many of you will remember my good friend, Bill, who has attended three gatherings with me. He is in need of our prayers now as he battles Guillian-Barre Syndrome at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. He's been in the hospital since about March 25 with a variety of symtoms and complications. He's mostly paralyzed except for one hand, has at one time been on a ventilator, and today is back in ICU because his heart stopped. Please remember Bill in your prayers! Thanks!

Prayers going his way. So sad to hear. Such a nice fella he is. At one of the Toledo Bend gatherings I recall, he had to leave early one Saturday afternoon because he had a hot date. Ann recalls two Bill's at the gathering - nice Bill and grumpy Bill. He is nice Bill. Grumpy Bill is Chuck's friend who always comes. He's not grumpy at all to me, just the way he is - plus makes serious tator salad.

Nice Bill would knock down the Miller Lite in my cooler, then the following day, a case of Michelob Ultra would show up in the back of my truck. A fine fella for sure - you tell him so.

Continued prayers, and while waiting I looked up Guillian-Barre Syndrome. Mayo Clinic says most times people who come down with it get over it, so that's a little bit of good news. The bad news is that it's a hospital stay and some close monitoring and treatment. Let's pray that Bill gets the best of treatment and be touched by the healing hand of God.

Guys, Bill's condition has deteriorated and he is now in critical condition. He is constantly sedated, on a ventilator, and vital signs are not stable. The diagnosis, which you will need to Google, seems to be a combination of Guillian-Barre, CDIP, and POEMS. Prayers are urgently requested. Thanks!
