Found some fish today back on the deep water flat. 17 fow and the winner today was a ole shoot bank custom carrot jig in popsicle color. I even scored a few channel cats. There was about 6 boats fishing today. Trying to get a trip in before the rain tomorrow. #TeamOveralls

Man I love using my own tied jigs but one thing plastic has an advantage of is being able to change quickly. I was fishing 2 plastic poles and 2 hand tied poles today. I have 4 poles rigged with hand tied and 4 poles rigged with plastic.Quote:

I was easing around with my troll motor dragging plastic jigs and shiners, working toward a big brushtop I found last week. There was a couple of guys with an aluminum boat that showed up soon after we arrived. They had a nice looking spider rig setup. They motored in, set down on the top and camped out on it for a while. So we just trolled around dragging our jigs and shiners. We brought home a dozen nice ones and culled about 6 or 8 smaller ones.

Nice catch and report. That popsicle color is hard to beat sometimes, I use a Big Bite bait in popsicle a lot. Thanks for the pictures.
