John is great to work with. I just ordered over a $100 worth to try. Got two trays of little bandits that I have been using. Everyone says these are just as good and a lot cheaper. I can't wait to give them a try.

By the way, I have not told this to many people and this is the first time this has been posted on the internet but my partner and I finished in the top 25 at the Crappie Masters Nationals back in the fall pushing cranks, that was not a secret but the go to baits were actually the 220s. 95% of our weigh-in fish, if not more, came off the Arkie 220s, they just wanted the smaller bait. I keep 2 of each in my boat at all times and it paid off that week of the tourney. Too, these baits work real well at .8 to 1 mph.
There goes the bank account again. I will need 2 more boxes- one for the 220s and new picos.

No, I dont push with a line straight in front of the motor plus most of the time you won't have that much line out, 30 feet of line would be running 20 foot deep. In this case I would be pulling with the weight on there.Quote:

I take my rods with line counter reels with me when fishing jigs, and test the water occasionally pulling cranks when the water temp gets to 55-58 and will sometimes find the crappies slamming the cranks when the surface temp registers around those temps. I find I also catch bigger fish on cranks in that cold water. Once it hits 60, the cranks will out perform the jigs and I eventually put the long lining jigging rods up and leave them at home pulling the cranks. I always keep 3 rods with me for casting jigs tho in 7’ and 8’ size in case I want to feel the thump. I primarily fish lakes in central and southern Indiana.
