Any of you fillet fish with one of these fillet knives?
Before I drop $ 50 + tax, I would like to hear how good they are if any of you use one.
Thanks

I have two, I like the electric knives much better. On a crappie over 10" it can be tough. But, I grew up with electric knives and am not the most proficient with a standard filet knife

Like Mo...I prefer electric knives. I do have a old Case fillet knife though that sharpens up good and works well when needed.
Bought my Case fillet knife well over 40 years ago.
I had one, if that tells you anything .lol to be totally fair the knife is so different to what I learned to hand fillet with I just did not care for it . Makes a great knife for cutting up deer . Gave mine to a relative .
I have the stiff heavy blade one and the flex blade. Stiff blade is a bit much, prob better for big game or saltwater. The flex blade is what I give the guy cutting out ribs and trimming while I knock the sides off with the electric rig. I did clean eighty something fish with the Bubba blades one day and they got the job done

Gerber makes a nice fillet knife. It has right amount of flex, and holds an edge very well.have been using the gerber for over 10 years now. Have rapala but like the gerber better.
I have a Bubba knife and it's ok for a few fish but like Mo said turns into too much work after that. Electric is so much better. I also have the Case filet knife I've had for thirty six years and still going strong.
I was given one of these years ago with a extra long blade that flexed, think it was 16". https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rapala-Fi...Knife/21080961
I carried it to work, cut it down to 9", reshaped the blade. That killed the flex. My best knife to filet with, if I can keep up with it.
I have a 7" Bubba Blade I purchased and I too prefer the electric!
