I've been there, but I would not be of any help, it's been way too long since I was there. Brings back memories. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/conte...-at-Rose-Trail
Hopefully someone can chime in. Best of luck, let us know how you do.
I just pulled out after having my camper down there for two months. I might be able to help you out. How do you plan to fish? troll or cast?
You should be able to pick up some fish in both those places. You will also see some people fishing deep out from airplane holler. Mill creek may still produce as well.
Got a couple buddies that have campers there, they have been smoking them long lining.
Thanks that what I plan on doing black and chartreuse is usually the best color down there are it was in the past anyway guess that would be a good place to start.
I started pulling crankbaits last Wednesday. Had 20 in 2 1/2 hours. Just thought I would try it. I usually don't start to the end of may. But they were biting.
Where is this located? I never heard of it.
It's right on the AL/MS line in north western corner of Alabama most people call it Bear creek it's part of the Pickwick reservoir and Rose Trail is a public boat ramp and campground.
Well I got to go yesterday but definitely should have stayed home I was hoping the rain would hold off till noon but it did't plus the wind was pretty bad as soon as I started fishing we had waves coming over the front of the boat so that was my sign to leave so I will just have to try it another day.
