If you use or want a cable steer motor and like to long line and crank too this thing is the cat's meow no doubt. Think you will love it Mo!

Getting closer!

Oh, I can't wait to see this one...
Okay guys, if you are wondering if the ultrex is worth it,,,, it's a resounding yes...tested it out a few minutes ago and wow is all I can say. Foot pedal is what dreams are made of for single polers. Anchor feature blew me away even in a fairly stiff wind. Veryquick response to remote inputs. I'm ready to break her in this weekend

Will the foot control come off

Isnt that sticking out the boat too far? Or is it the pic?
I want one but not have to fool with foot control

Main advantage that I see is the rope to pull it up. On my terrova I have to get in an unbalanced position to deploy or stow it. Gotta bend way down or crawl up to it. Vertigo makes bending over so close to the edge.
That and the assisted cable steer for single poling. I like using the foot control spider rigging to free up may hands. Used it today and I think I'm gonna love it. Very very pleased at this point

Mo, I plan to get one soon. From your picture looks like you haves poles outside the boat on one side and a good bit of TM hanging out on the other side. I'll have the same situation. Is that a problem pulling next to docks, loading, unloading, etc?
Some docks it may be, deploy the tm, use spot lock, go park truck, come back and use remote to guide the boat up to the dock. At lest that's how I have it planned in my head

Or just bring a friend who can run the boat!
Mo' let me tag along yesterday and I had a few chances to play with this toy along the way. It is pretty dang awesome! I'm used to a cable drive five speed and this thing blew me away. The foot control is very responsive, it doesn't have the resistance like a regular cable drive and is a bit touchy but after a bit of practice I can see it being very easy to work with. I see one in my future..... don't tell my wife.

I missed out on seeing it in action, but it sure sounds impressive. There might just be one on my rig soon too! That self docking idea has a lot of merit...
