So on my ongoing quest to wire my boat, I found that a fuse blocks situation might make things much cleaner. Can a fuse block cause interference or noise in sonar? In my head, no. Because if you have all electronics wired to one battery, the connectors all touch one another which is essentially what a fuse block would do with one power in that is split into separate outgoing wires.

Trolling motor will be on its own run, with its own circuit breaker and will only be wired for trolling motor. Everything else will run off of the third battery which would feed the fuse block.

Should be fine as long as you run a good sized wire to power your fuse block. I would still run each depth finder to its own seperate fuse. Pretty simple check, turn finder on then cycle bilge and ariator pumps and check for interference right at the house.
No bilge or aeration. G3 1652 Jon boat. Each sonar will be on its separate fuse.

Your good then. Main thing is good tight connections. If it was me I'd get one that has screws for each connection not the push on spade kind.

I just installed this fuse block in the back of my boat next to my accessory and cranking battery, I ran 10 gauge wire to front of my boat for new Humminbird Helix. System works good

Remember that a fuse in the electronics circuit is to protect the entire circuit - not just the electronics ...Quote:

Is it bad to have livescope and fishfinder spliced together joined on the same wire run to the fuse block. That's how it was installed by a "professional ". Seems like the livescope and fish finder might interfere with each other.Quote:

Remember the fuse protects the wiring, not the device.
IF you run a separate circuit for each device, the fuse can technically protect the device and the wiring.
I run the same setup as you. 2 TM batteries, and a single battery for the boat lights, pumps, electronics, and starting the motor. All 3 batteries are Group 31 Marine Deep Cycle. I also use a single 3 bank 5amp each battery charger. You can get interference from the TM to the sonar units via the 3 bank charger. Unless you install isolators. Minnkota includes isolators with the charger.
I rewired my boat and added a 12 circuit fuse panel. I run wiring to feed 60 amps to the fuse panel. your wire gauge will be determined by the length of the run. The run includes to the fuse panel and back to the battery. If its 15' or wire from the battery to the fuse panel, then the run is 30'. I put all my sonar units on their own fuse. 1 fuse for the master boat switch. Fuse for 12volt accessory outlet for chargin my remote, cell phone, and baitwell pump.
I used the original 4 circuit fuse panel as a 2nd fuse panel for accessories controlled off the master switch. The master switch turns on/off the 4 circuit panel. That panel powers my Ethernet port, Heading Sensor, Mega 360, and Mega Live. All 4 need to be switched off.
I bought a spool of marine wire for all my circuits.
I have no issue with interference, or draining the batteries during 8 hours of tournament Crappie fishing. Nor lake swimming with the stereo running all day. Motor fires up and gets me back to the ramp every time. Plug it in at the camp ground and all three batteries are ready to go in the am.
