The "Other White Meat"

Me and Allen teamed up for a few hours this morning looking for some monster catfish. He has never been catfishing with me since I started targeting just the big fish. Wasn't a banner morning but for Allen it produced his personal best all time big fish. No scales....but guessing conservatively... I believe he landed a 30#er and a 35#er this morning. Both were released to fight another day.:)

Caught one other fish I reeled in...guessing @ 20 lb bluecat. Had 4 other bites that didn't hook up. A slick water, foggy=-to-begin-with morning and comfortable temps. Stopped fishing at 10:45AM and headed to the house. A great morning and one I'll remember for AWHILE....getting yet another day sharing a boat with my son again.:)

Dang, big ole fishes for sure! I love looking at those big cats. I would like to get hooked up once with one of them but I don't know what to do and I would probably lose the rod. Great reporting on a grand memory with your son!

looks like your figuring this cat fishing out, I've had a hard time breaking the 35 lb mark here lately, dont know what I'm doing wrong, good job, if I was closer to you , I would love to go after them big cats with you.

After I finally retire in a few years I fully intend on coming to Wylie and Wateree to do some catfishing and hopefully you can show me the ropes in your area. I also wanna learn how you catch so many crappies.;)

That's a hoss you got there s;limdaddy. I don't have the Ohio river to fish in (wished I did) but hopefully one of these days I can feel the pull from a fish like that one you caught.:)
