Looks like some good decisions!! How much did your crappie weigh? Looks sizable!

A real fisherman would have challenged the storms as long as the fish were cooperating. At least I know I would have, but I've made many careless decisions when it comes to biting fish and weather. lol
If lightning hits the water do the crappie float to the top?

Yesterday I even thought about going this morning but later in the day watching the forecast the timing of those storms changed. It began raining here @ 8:45AM and hasn't stopped more than a few minutes. With age comes wisdom.....atleast that's my excuse.:biggrin
Rain here at noonish
Squeezed it
Lake was dead calm and no sun

I see that you went back to store bought jigs. Guess those fancy Brett jigs just arnt fooling them! ;)
Good catch and right smart to get off the water
Simple for Wylie. Clouds and no sunshine spell black or dark blue with Chartruess.
You better stay out of Big Dawggs honey hole. He bites also. Good catch.
Wise decision to get off water when you did. Early start in storms this morning here also
Probably in the 1.75 range I'd guess.
