look different than the morels I get, all cap and not much stem. will be looking for them in a couple of days.
They are reds. They are not hollow like a morel, they are meaty. Slice them into slabs and fry up with your favorite coating. I like either kentucky kernel seasoned flour or finely crushed saltine crackers.Quote:

When ya clean them the stem will have dirt in it just cut it off above that point

you need to wait on eating those. i read an article a while back that they might be contaminated this year. the only way to be sure is if
you bring them up north to me and let me fry them up and eat them just to make sure nobody will get sick from them. that is the only
100% way i know to keep people safe. just trying to do my part. hope sun peeks out this weekend during youth turkey hunting so we can
look for a few. has been pretty rainy and overcast up here for a few weeks.
