Prairie Creek

Going to try for some crappie and walleye in the morning. Just wondering if the fish have been cooperating.

Hi Firehyd, I'm from Terre Haute but live in Columbus now. Fished at Prairie Creek many years ago and found it a nice spot.

Didn't do worth a darn today. First time I have fished it this early... little windy early and cloudy. Tried several spots for walleye and crappie but no luck.

Gonna try it again tomorrow...

Good luck Do you know if the bait store is open for the season

Not sure... Didn't go by there last time was there...sorry

The Lighthouse bait shop on Centennial in Muncie is open early. I'm heading down tomorrow, They should be open at 6 AM. 765-287-8587. They are the same people and will know if the shop at the Creek is open. Good Fishing.

Tried Crappie. None. Tried Walleye, None. Caught a yellow bass on a spinner. Switched to jigs and a worm caught many. Most about 8-10 inch a few big ones. Fished from shore they're spawning. We like em. Much bigger than usual. Action was fast and furious. Bigger than the crappie in the Creek. Bait shop will be open at the lake tomorrow. Boats trolling for walleye said no luck. What a mess of fish, great job! I miss my home turf. Are those the same as Stripes? Good eating?
Wife and I will be fishing Friday, don't know where yet, just have to go.

Those yellow bass are terrible there.... Brought home 10 crappie between two of us. Probably caught 10 of the yellow bass also but didn't keep. Talked to couple people that said the bite was on the day before...lol that's how I roll...day late

When was the last time you tried one. Guess it depends on your taste and how you fix em. We like em.

Wasn't talking about eating them.
Terrible as in to many... seams the last three years the population has exploded.
