There is a certain little girl who happens to turn five this week. Mom spent most of the day taking her for a physical and to register her to start school this year. Shes all excited about starting school and was pretending to do homework when I got home. This got me to thinking it was about time to take her for some planer board schooling. You want to go fishing with Dad? I asked. Yes she replied. So without further delay, we was off to "boarding" school. After learning what a planer board was it was time to get down to business. We each took turns switching back and forth from landing and then netting the fish. We measured a few fish together and then I was totally amazed that she started calling the keepers and shorts without even measuring. That's a keeper she would say. Over the next couple of hours we landed forty crappie together with sixteen keepers. Had to cut the trip short though as we started to see lightening bolts in the distance from an approaching storm. Managed to dodge the storm on the way back home and was lucky enough to back the boat into the garage before it started to come down.
