I just bought a tx17 bass tracker and was looking for some ideas on a spider rig to put on it. Not really wanting somthing complicated just to be stable. Trouble in what I come up with is my trolling motor comes back on the deck side and the spider rig will have to come down for me to move from spot to spot on Lake. Don't really know what to do.
Go to Sponsor Classifieds.....look for E-Z Poleholders ad......order you some Spyder Lok rod holders and also order a slide track for your base plate to use on trolling motor side.....then you can just loosen two knobs and slide your rod rack out of the way of your trolling motor when stowing or deploying it and then slide your rod rack back into position.

I have a tracker as well and put my left spyder loc closer to the center to where I can loosen the center knob and turn it parallel to the trolling motor where it will just pass when it lays down
My G3 is the same way and I use tite loc holders I made a new center section and hinged it one knob to tighten it down and a pin works pretty good Attachment 261530
I no longer have my tracker but this is how I had it set up. I used EZPOLE HOLDERS slide rack to mount my Spyderlok. It allowed me to deploy and store my trolling motor without taking my Spyderlok down. You mentioned stable, so I must say a 2 man set up in the front at times was to much for my Tracker. Just make sure you mount your base plate in a position so the trolling motor will clear with the Rod Holder while attached in the upper position. I used the Spider Lok as well because the horizontal bar is easy to turn in any position or direction. When I'm ready to deploy or pull the trolling motor all I need to do is ensure the top horizontal rod holder bar is turned to clear the motor whether going up or down. Too easy.

I have the same issue with my 17' tracker stick steer. I just slide the rod holder out of the base when I pick up and move. It only takes a few seconds and hasn't bugged me enough to warrant spending any additional money to remedy the situation.

I agree with the other peoples post, I have other brands of rod holders, but I don't think you will find a better road holder then the Spyder Lok, imo, and I have owned others. The best prices I found were on ebay from a guy out of Indiana, as always shop around, you will not regret buying the spider lok or Millineum.

I have a Tracker 175 with 2 millennium holders. Keeping both holders spread wide enough for two seat fishing, the passenger holder has to come down because of the troller, but its just two knobs and it comes right off. I contemplated setting up a track to slide them, but I wanted to keep everything flush for bass fishing and no elevated brackets because the decks aren't really big on the Trackers. I have been known to kick my shoes off as well when spending a full day on the water and I don't want my 3 year old or my clumsy self to stump a toe on an elevated bracket or track. When you do move a good distance all the poles have to come down, so two short threaded knobs on that one side really aren't that big of a deal at that point.
Can you post some pics of your set up hammerhead? I would like to see how you done it?

I probably lose about 4 inches of rod reach on the troller side, but I just angle the holder out a tad more.
