I am trying out a Chirp 93sv unit right now.

Does it have foward scan?

No, I haven't added the panoptix transducer to it yet.

I want to know how well it marks fish

I looked at them at Bass Pro last weekend. The panoptix is pretty interesting.

I just put a garmin 93 on one of my boats and so far I love it. It marks fish just as good if not better than lowrance. Can't compare to hummingbird as I want allow one on my boat. I got the chirp model that accepts the panoptic transducer. It is real simple to use. You will not regret buying the Garmin unit
I just recently installed one. Havent got out to use it yet. If you purchase before March 31 there is a $200 rebate on a fishfinder panoptix package.
I am looking at the 7612 series

My buddy saw one with a guide on lake fork, he said it was almost cheating!
You have yours out yet MO ?
The transducer is 1500. O want to make sure it will fit a Terrova

Wondering, as few people are running them, would it be worth getting set up as a garmin dealer and buying a rig to demo? Can't find many people in the area to see one to get a feel for em

Heres how I mounted mine. PS21 STICK FINISHED
very similar to how i want to mount mine, but, I want to be able to move ducer from front to back. I pull jigs as much as spider rig, so it will take a lot of guess work out of the depth hunt being able to look behind the boat. The down scan that mounts to the back can be adjusted to 45* fore or aft, but i dont think thats gonna give me enough rear view. Wanted to get two power cords, have a mount on bow and stern, but up front I want to be able to use it to scan with TM, which I will have to fabricate a pole like you have and incorporate it to the terrova somehow. Need a few more beers and some more head scratching to figure out just how I want to do it. seems like it could be an awesome tool if I could get it figured out
torch, this is the same thing im worried about, saw an idea from cornfield crappie, looked like he did not attach the ducer cord to the shaft at all, just mounted on the bottom of the motor and and cable inside some large diameter coiled airhose.

I was looking at an idea for a p21 that would have a seperate mount like Da Ducer stick, but would mount to the shaft of the terrova, but have only been able to get a crayon sketch of it in paint lol

If I understand you right. You want to mount the 21 to the trolling motor but be able to rotate it separate from turning the Troller.? That's gonna be a tough one. If you mount on a stick up front you can turn it to the back for pulling. It is suppose to reach at least 100'.
Rickie is making his ducer apparatus to be able to rotate just for the PS21. Call him.
I saw his post in the electrics section. I will be interested to see what he can come up with. I would like to be able to mount it on the back to avoid interference with my other ducers when shooting backwards.
