Who else thinks PA Crappie fishing is just as good or maybe even better than any of those Southern lake we hear so much about?

Are you talking about just the fishing part, or the whole deal including the catching part? lol
I was born, raised, and (survived) in PA for 64 years.
I still spend several months each year there when the heat becomes unbearable for fishing here
at a nice camp in the NC region of the state. I fish there also from a boat in the impoundments within a reasonable distance.
Places like Bald Eagle state park at Howard, and Curwensville lake, as well as a few others like Sinnemahoning and
Bush dams.
Based on my experience, all I will say is don't be kidding yourself into believing what you just said.
Yes, much better! Please spread the word!!
Yep - I used to catch a lot more fish up North! All of you should stay up North and fish!!
^^^^ yes please broadcast this nationally and everywhere you can and often as you can. While your at it, spread word that Florida's deer hunting is only surpassed by Saskatchewan. :Rofl:Rofl:crazy:rotflrotfl
Yeah! Stay up North, we don't have no fish in Mississippi!:Rofl
This dude has to be a troll. Or he's never fished south of the Mason Dixon line. COME ON MAN.
^^^^^^ My money is on this.
He joined in 2015 and just now posted his first message ... so I doubt he's a "troll", probably just proud of his state waters and looking for others that agree. And don't forget ... Pa State Record Crappie is 4.2lbs (caught in 2000).
Now, I don't know about Pa ... but, you have to admit that Bee, up in Maine, certainly shows some dandy Slabs !! :biggrin
Uh huh.....And Indiana is second

Well we could have a good discussion about the deer hunting, but the man specifically said fishing.
But then again you only mentioned the hunting part also. lol
Check out where would be the best place in the U S to harvest a black bear, especially a big black bear.
Dont have to look that up. Trapper for FWC showed me his log book and pics. We got some big bears roaming round here. The nuisance bear he was called for in our neighborhood in Debary about 8 years ago was 573lbs boar. Great turkey hunting as well. But our deer herd is very lacking.
