Hope you have a good trip! You've got a great chance to catch a 3plus pounder. BTW you work the same FD shift I do...

Well didn't start fishing till about noon due to searching for a boat ramp... the lake was way down and looked like a desert lol... watched about 15 boats fishing right by the ramp for 30 min and not a single fish pulled in so we took off else where and found a likely spot and started fishing and started catch wen we found the right depth... caught a bunch right at 12 inches long and threw them back and might of kept 5 that were over enough to keep and 2 at 2lbs... had sum really bad luck tho and had 4 break off... guess I'll never know if they were the 3lber I was after but all in all it was fun... we stayed up too late to fish the next morning but we would of went to Enid if we had gone

If the water will get up to where you can wade. It's awesome down there. I leave from the FD in west Memphis and get started fishing by 10.

Sound like you had a good first trip and will probably make the trip again. Congratulations. Fishing a body of water for the first time is always fun.

Muddy water like that, you could use 20lb braid & the Crappie would never know the difference.
