Check your local Quicktrip, most have the non ethanol

the BP right before ebanzeer park landing does

Rock Hill has a lot of places with non ethanol. Google RH ethanol free gas stations and check out the locations. It's easier than listing them.:highfive

I don't worry about it and just add 1 oz. of Stabil per every 10 gallons of ethanol gas.

I use the Startron enzyme for gasoline diluted with ethanol. Have had no issues with my outboard. Have had issues with lawnmowers, weedeaters, blowers, etc. Ethanol in gas is a BAD DEAL for Americans. Increases taxes (by causing us to buy more fuel to go same distance), increases food costs, causes multitude of fuel related small engine problems. Lastly, it's a NET LOSS of fuel....consumes more than a gallon of fuel to make a gallon of Ethanol! I sure hope the current admin recognizes this folly and makes changes. Sorry if I've offended any corn growers, but there will still be a market for your crop. Maybe just one that doesn't STICK IT to the rest of us.

The best tool I have ever used is an app called Gas Buddy. It uses GPS locator for every State in the USA. Just get the app and type in Ethenol free gas and your Zip Code...bingo a list of every current business selling it.

I use Tru fuel in my chainsaw blowers and weed eater. Good stuff. I use non ethanol in my boat and never had a problem in 6 years. For what it's worth.

I use 100 Octane Aviation gas myself. It has to be stable for one year. I still add a little Ring Free to it also. My 4 stroke Yamaha loves that 100 octane. And my other home equipment does also. I know that it cost more but I don't us that much in these motors.

Hey thanks for all the info. this is the first boat I've had in about ten years, don't want to tear it up out the gate. It's a 1996 17' Wahoo w/ 90 hp merc and an old fat guy if ya see me give a shout

Unless you know that the owner before you used ethanol gas, I think I would stick with non-ethanol gas. You get some build up of deposits in fuel lines and such over time and the ethanol gas can strip some of this and potentially cause issues. You may want to add SeaFoam or an equivalent and gradually clean up the system. I have an older boat and motor and use non-ethanol and looked into using ethanol gas but decided against it after doing a little research.

Ethonal does not damage (for the most part) when in use....its when you let it sit that it does its most harm.
Startron is excellent stuff. Most walmarts ive walked into as of late have them on clearance now.
MOST QTs have non ethonal fuel. look for the red nozzels!
