heading down this Thursday, hope the fish are biting. Came down last year mid April and caught a few. Looks like it's going to be on the cool side.

Not to be a spoiler but the weather is going to be terrible this week after 2 months of semi spring weather that has most of the waters in the upper 50's and on the upper end of the big G low 60,s. and a lot of the crappie thinking of spawning .....With 2 nights in the mid to low 20's and daytime highs in the low 40's,plus a cold rain today, it will probably drop the water temp into the low 50's and shock them for a week or so is my guess or they will change from the spawn pattern to pre spawn or just go deeper to wait it out. Looks like it will be week after next before we see 70 ° days again .Anyway you may be an ace at finding them weather or not!! and good luck.
That's just my luck. I already have a house rented and can't change my dates. A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.
You may find them in the town creek or browns ferry area. Go from shallow to deep or vice versa

I'll likely be in Town Creek myself this weekend. I have to fish whenever I can too, not just when I want to. Guess it will be a good time to troll some jigs.
It might be tough, but a bad day fishing is better than a great day at work. Good luck hope you catch a bunch.
:ThumbsUp
It was a tuff weekend. Our group only had 30 for the weekend, but they where nice ones. I got to meet a fellow Forum member on the water and chat a little. Always nice to put a face with a name. I think next year, will come down the first of April.
Mother Nature sure got ya this round wished you could have been a week or two later/ either . But it just happens that way sometimes :banghead sorry I couldnt help ya ! It was great to meet ya as well! maybe revenge on them next round .
We're from central KY. It's almost the same distance to go to either lake from here. We enjoy fishing Guntersville lake.
