but,
you guys look at how I ran the transducer cable and tell me if it will work, or what I need to add.
Or, if I need to start over. Open to suggestions, criticism, pointers, etc.

I saw a video on YouTube about this exact application. I don't remember the name of the video though. It was just like yours coming out of the head, then he hot glued the cable down the groove of the shaft.. maybe you can find the video.
I took zip tied mine at the clamp then put a rubber eyelet in the screw on the cover then got a bungee cord cut it put cable in tied bungee cord in knots zip tied to top of shaft to keep tension on cable .

Cubeice,
I like how you did that. I was thinking of putting some sort of eye for the cable to guide through and I may have a few of those laying around. Hadn't thought of the bungee though.
Hello : First your trolling motor shaft has to have a groove in it. Then go to youtube and go to walleye workshop , then select installing hummingbird down image transducer. See if your able to do this with your motor. I did mine and it was pretty simple.Good Luck. O - R
What cubeice did is very similar to what I did, running it through the pigstail cord. Mine is only firmly attached to the motor housing, and able to move, if needed, from there up. The loop under the head is needed. I trashed a Transducer form a less expensive unit while going thru my learning curve. Contain without attach. I drilled a hole in the web on the motor itself to attach the cable to. A 4 inch piece of aluminum channel with grooves cut in the sides made the mount for the transom transducer that is tougher than the TM version IMHO.

Have a look at this thread. I just put mine on 2 weeks ago and it's running fine. There is a picture with how much air hose to use. I did have to order the 12mm x 8mm air hose off Amazon. Mine was a motorguide but the application should cross over to minn Kota.
