I was watching a crappie show on TV the other day and they were fishing Arkabutler. During the intro they introduced it as the "Home of the 4lb crappie" so get ready.:yikes

Nice
Sometimes you just got to let a sleeping dog lie.
I'll probably go and catch my 4-5 yearly fish,,, but things need to change,,, maybe add some water,,,,
Before habitat day the level was 210.15, now it's 213.05 so it's on a slow fill.
Not a whole lot to talk about except, waters to low to launch, water so full of mud you need a mud motor, if you don't know the lake most likely going to run aground out there by yourself, no cover in the water.
Here is the challenge, run down Saturday and let us know how you did.:biggrin
I Was watching Ol high seas/stren Bill and bout fell out of my chair!!!!! Then po mouthed Mr Bright fer bragging about his record White Crappie from Enid???? Still watch him just like always!!! He has seen a bunch of fish on his hook!! Wish Bobby Murray had a show. His demeanor is very easy to watch and learn fishing tips.
Saw two ATV's and five boats out in the lake last sunday. ????
I would think they will keep it as low as possible this year for the bridge work.
I fished it Saturday and had one fish whiff at my jig but he didn't like what he whiffed at I guess cause he didn't come back for a 2nd chance. I run aground multiple times wayyyy out in the main lake. Gonna be tough until she clears up and gets a lil h2o
She wasnt a late bloomer last year. It had been a long time since I was able to run a boat past Holly Springs Rd upriver. Matter of fact almost all the way to 305. I suspect they will get water a lot faster now since I was able to build a new levee where my place is upriver, ha. No more flooding for me, hopefully.
214 and it's on if the water temp is right for me that is!If it can get there and stay there for a little while I'd be a happy camper.
