I have been steelhead fishing a couple times this year (2005) without any luck and I just realized i have not caught a fishi yet this year! Anyone have any ideas on the quickest way to solve this problem locally?

Huge and I mean HUGE smallmouth bass can be caught out of the ship canal. Carolina rigged plastics do the trick everytime. Drag them on the bottom as slow as you can stand to.Quote:

Slabking tell me more about these humps and the smallmouth fish and some crappie if you want to.
thanks for the info SlabKing! I'll definitely being trying that this summer
I wonder how high the skykomish is now. the snoqualmie went from below minimum flow to almost flood stage within a few days
The skykomish is really bad but if you wait a while it should be ok .
how deep do you gus think the perch are in lake washington right now and have you heard anything about the cutthroat fishing in there this time of year.
Perch?? Probably about 45 feet deep to 50 feet deep.
for the cutthroat you wanty to troll either side of the two bridges with worm harnesses and spoons in fire tiger, as for depth i have caught them at the surface down to 70 feet.
Alot of those guys that troll for cutthroat catch smallies on a regular basis too.
yeah during the spring they troll in the creek beds witha three way swivel rig. the lower rung to a two ounce weight, one to the main line and the other to a floating origianal rap or a count down model. they catch lots of smallies that way and some big cutts.
Umm, isn't it illegal to fish for dolly varden?Quote:
