I had thought about selling transom mount 360 concerned about using it in shallow water and damaging it, well we wished a lot of 2 to 3 feet of water this weekend without any issues and will keep it.

How you like that Helix 12?
Can't say enuff about it, got to learn to do screenshot where the pics are a lot better. Never fooled with the SI, just used the 360, pretty much all I use now.
The screen shots would be nicer.
Glad your happy with your new setup John,,,, I almost did the same setup except the 350 of course because of expense,,,Instead I bought the Helix Mega 10 and bought the transome saver ($169) and using it upfront...maybe after I pay off the Mega 10'helix I'll buy the 350 next,,,
360 is sweet, fished with a friend that has one on the bow on ricky ducer apperatus. We fished an area we have never fish before and I marked stuff at the console and he was at the bow marking helping and we caught fish.I would have to say it was a pretty good day,78 high the day before and 48 here yesterday and fishing new water the 360 made it easy.Im a lowrance man,but the 360 is awsome[emoji12]

Rees how was your decision on the Tite-lok's you pick up, you like them???
Listing my transom mount 360 and bracket sometime this week. I thought I would list it here and on BBC board.
Just learned to grasp DI not long ago, still figuring out SI think I just about have that nailed down. How much different is it to make out whats on the 360 screen compared to side image? And Rees is that a crack on your new 12 screen in the top right corner or is just the clouds, background illusion?
I fished with Ree's back in the fall when he had it hooked to a 1198 or 1199. Took me about 1 1/2 to figure out what it was showing and how to decider it. But once you understand what you are looking at it is awesome. I can't wait to see what it looks like on that Helix unit. If I could afford it one would be on my boat right now.
Just background. 360 does not get as clear as SI will if you really get dialed in BUT its much easier to get it where I have it now than SI is to adjust, to me anyways.
SI IS IN THE PAST!!!!!!! Looking forward with the 360 is real time and you are seeing what is coming up.
Hey, Rees! SI is in the past, yes BUT, you love cranking.....and when cranking, you can see a bait ball or fish before your cranks get there 100' behind you! Your ULTIMATE SOLUTION, put your 360 on your bow with the 360.(newspaper men make good moneyrotfl). Then you got water borne radar with your 360 and your Helix 12 to see the rear....then you'll run over somebody when you're trying to watch 2 screens at the same time:Rofl
I rarely fish with more than 70 foot of line out cranking and the 360 sees as good as SI does for cranking.
We had just moved to deeper water in this picture so I had not lightened the screen on 360 yet. I also didn't have the offset correct thus the difference in depth readings. 360 is at a different depth than trolling motor transducer you can see the difference in water temps. The side Imaging on left side appears stretched due to transducer being on trolling motor which I had just moved to the right. You can see the log to the left on 360 that we were approaching. The logs and limbs on Side Imaging had already passed by.
