Tie in both chenilles - wrap the one you want against the hook and just pull the other one tight over the top of it and tie it down.
I don't understand that. I just can't see how the way you said it puts one color on top and another color on bottom. I thought that it was dyed that way or something!
Wow, thanks Fatman , I got it now.
Easy stuff and he's right on how to do that! Lots of things you can do and if guys would learn some of the fly tying stuff they would open the rest of the tying world into their tool box!
I have given links to lessons on all kinds of good tying of flies and they tie in materials just like we should!

Now I know what those long skinny feathers are for. Great!
Look nice. Cool color patterns
Sorry Mr. Thump
Skips right sometimes I think fly tying instruction instead of jigs!!!LOL Glad you got it.
Click on Fly Tying, then you will see Beginning Tying which starts off with tools and such, but soon gets into patterns. After that there is Intermediate Tying and finally Advanced Tying and the Advanced is where I learned to tie the weave bodies. So much on this site and their tips page is also very good. I give out tips from them all the time and where I first learned to paint eyes with the back of a drill bit, lol! Click on this link....... I have a long way to go but I done these today! My first day using feathers and I don't like how small my chenille is. But they manage to make em bite on Toledo! I can't seem to find what size chenille Joey Anderson use on his you tube videos.
Most guys use #2 on 1/16 Oz jigs and some places call that medium. Also if you get some chenille with Crystal in it (New Age) then I like #3 because once you add Crystal in chenille it's not as dense as it is without the Crystal. I use to get the #2 in that also, but it didn't take me long to change to the #3 for that stuff and really I also use a lot of #3 in just Rayon or Nylon, but it can be a tiny bit large for anything less than 1/16.
I think most places do not have the #3 though as they have #3 and then something larger than the #2 so maybe like a #5 is their next size.
