Nice
Glad you caught some. I bout got skunked. Fished around lake point.
I went also today to try and find some in shallow water. Didn't find a lot but the few that were there were nice ones.
Lets try this again.
Remember NO PERSONAL ATTACKS!
Rant from me coming shortly about this thread and the turn it took. Gimme a few minutes to gather my thoughts.
"667 reads yet no one has any info. LOL y'all are pathetic. Heaven forbid you give out any useful info."
This post by a member who I will not name set me off. This post is the antithesis of what Crappie.com is all about. It's the exact opposite of the reason this site exists. This is an example of online bullying, and is definitely a personal attack. To use the number of views to shame members into posting more information is truly pathetic. The member that made the above post will be banned for some time (yet to be determined).
The other thing I take out of this incident is the fact that us members need to watch out for each other. This is a family friendly site and we will keep it that way. Never hesitate to PM us (moderators or me) with your opinion about the direction a thread is taking or has taken. We do not read every post here, so please give us a heads up when something happens that takes away from the spirit of the site. I may take action in full view of the members like this example, or I may PM members behind the scene, but I definitely will do everything in my capabilities to keep this a family friendly site. There is just too much other junk/trash out there on the Internet and on TV. I insist that this private website "crappie.com" remains true to it's origin and is a place where bullying and name calling is not allowed.
And this is a perfect report just as it is. Thank you gamedic8504 for your thread (see below).
We don't want specifics that would make members uncomfortable posting, or would over run small lakes (or honey holes). All we want are pictures and a little advice that'll help us locate biting fish on our own. Info like depth, color, style of fishing is perfect. But the most important is pictures. There are many members on our site that can't even get out to fish, and essentially they live vicariously though those that can get out and catch a few. Thank you all for your patience. Sorry for the rant. I'll go ahead and leave this thread closed, I think it took off in the wrong direction, and I cleaned it up, but if I open it up again, we'll be getting off the topic of fishing. Go fish...
