Catfishing 2/21/2017

Had a little luck and just wanted to share it with you guys today. Fished for 3 hours this morning and had 4 hook ups. Here's a 23 lb blue...

Also caught a 17 lb blue I didn't take a picture of. Total catch today was 105 lbs.

Lake was slick as glass for the most part and the sky remained mostly overcast. Woulda been a GREAT day for crappie fishing.....but catfishing wasn't too bad either.;):)

That is a nice mess of cats. The crappie fishing on the hill was off today we fished soap creek and only managed 4 crappie. Lot of boats fishing but nobody catching. Thanks for sharing

That is a boatload of fish. Do you keep any or just release? I helped clean several big cats caught on a trot line at Santee. Felt like butchering hogs to me.

Good trip. Nothing wrong with them catfish. They cook up just fine.

Ray, I don't bother keeping any of those fish. I just like feeling the pull and seeing that rod going down. It's strictly catch and release for me.

John I like switching it up from time to time seeing if I can get one or two of those big 'uns to bite. I wont ever stray too far from those crappies.:biggrin
