I have no idea, but let us know. We will be there last week of March when my wife and son gets out for spring break.
CACC is having a tournament on 4 March. Maybe show up at the weigh-in (1600 hours) and see about gathering some intelligence?? I know I will certainly share where I didn't find the fish and the baits they were not biting.
We will try and be there JD. If weather permits we will go to the Alabama river south of Montgomery this Saturday.
I fished Pintlala and Noland Creeks last Saturday. Also fished the mouths of both and the inside of the river channel ledge between the two creeks. Water temp was right at 60 degrees. I marked what I thought to be good schools of crappie but didn't have much luck. Tried just about every color in the box - we landed one decent 14" black. Sometimes they just don't want to bite.
we didn't find crappie up the creeks. The fish we did see were 15-18' deep at the mouth of Noland.
I too fished Pintlala Sunday. I didn't get any hits fishing for crappie. I left two lines out with minnows while trying to catch a bass or two. Ended up with 8 spots in a 300 yard stretch of gravel bank using a crankbait in 8.-16 FOW. One spot over 3, most were bulging 1 1/2lb +.

Any update on Miller's Ferry. I should be up there next week and will be there the last week in March also for spring break. Look forward to seeing some of you maybe.
Fishunt, we will be there the last week of March also. By what I saw yesterday there staging with some being shallow on warm days and the rest getting ready. Hope to see you on the water.
That's what I saw this weekend. Already sent a PM to FISHUNT
JD, I hate I missed you Saturday. Didn't get to dock till 4. Most of the tournament guys were gone. I met the 2nd place guys. They had a nice stringer of fish.
Wished I would have caught you there. Big fish was 2.35 and weighed near the end. I believe it was the second place guys that had a 2.23 pounder and got edged out of the big fish pot.
A bunch of us didn't do well. We had one keeper which I gave to the lady fishing at the Bridgeport dock where we put in. Should have weighed it in after seeing a few teams weighing one, two or three fish.
it was a good time anyway. At a few points in the day, we had some "comedy". We went under a very low bridge to get back in this slough. On the way out, we forgot we had a 14' BGJP sitting upright and the bridge snapped that pole. All we could do was laugh at our oversight. Then while fishing a brush pile in Chilihatchee creek, we were retrieving marker buoys with my ego reach net. Wind gusted and pushed us around pretty good and it got hectic trying to do too many things at once. After we got everything on the boat and sat for the trip to the next spot, I asked my partner where's the net? Evidently, during that chaos I let the net slip off my lap into the water. LOL.
edit: early after launch we fishing some flooded timber close the bank. It was super quiet and we were watching our rod tips intensely anticipating the bite to come when the stillness was blasted by 8 turkeys that took to the sky. They were roosting in high grass when we happened upon them. It was a nice moment even though we were really startled.
Sorry to hear bout all the mishaps. But glad yall had a good day. I didn't do much better either. I will give them another try this weekend.
