Gathering ?

After the news of there not being a normal CrappieFest several folks suggested some place else. After a couple weeks of no one coming up with one it was talked over last night. So here we go. Aint gonne make everyone happy but never will. April 22 is a Saturday. We plan on meeting at Ebenezer Ramp on Lake Wylie for a get together. Gate opens at 6:00 a.m. and we will set out as close to 7:00 as possible. We will fish till 1:00 p.m. and weigh in will be 1:30 p.m. Planning on BiggDawwg cooking brats on the grill. We welcome any donations on the food ,shelter and prize fund. So here it is and we welcome any input on it. Hope to see a good crowd. Remember it is for family and friends. Dont worry bout not knowing where to fish. We gonna have folks out all week finding places to hunt for em. And may even let you pet the BiggDawgg ! Lets go fishin !

I will get the shelter arrangements going. I'll shoot for the big one in the middle. I will fix the brats and get the buns to. All we need is how many are going to be there and firm it up prior to the event. I really hope everyone will attempt to be there. Bring the kids, uncles and friends, but don't bring my ex girl friend.

If Stump Hunter will give us a sticky so we can keep up with who's and what's.:biggrin

I will be there and will probably come up Friday and fish and spend the night so I want have to drive back home. I will donate what ever is needed to help. Don

How to Get There
Take I-77 to exit #82-C. Follow SC #161 (Celanese Road) west for 1.8 kilometers (1.1 miles), then turn right onto Mount Gallant Road (#195). Go northwest 6.9 km. (4.3 mi.), then turn right onto Boatshore Road, which leads into Ebenezer Park.

Hey, SCgrubbs, you are a member by virtue of being a member of Crappie.com. You can bring any guest you want. Just follow the thread because as it gets closer we ask folks to help out by bringing things like drinks, ice, cups, chips....stuff like that. We usually pass the hat to reimburse the organizers for supplies/prizes/shelter rental they paid for up front.

Everyone is welcome, family, friends, guest and bring the kids :yikes, we like kids to come out and show off their fishing skills because some of us ain't got no skills. We'll get the list of goodies up soon that are needed and post it. Just keep and eye on the board.:cheers2

The wife and I will try to make it again this year with the granddaughters. Even though we got blown off of Lake Russell last year, the girls still had a ball. Let me know what I can bring or how I can help.

They usually have a bucket at the event for your donations. If you want you can also by something for fishing to be given out at the meet

Good to hear ya'll gonna make it. We will be gettin up a list soon. As far as hotels you can try Google search for Rock Hill and York area.Some one will chime in on this that knows more bout hotels stays than me I am sure.

I've stayed overnight twice for these outings. The major chains are all there at the main exit (82 off I77) I think I stayed at Super 8 and Comfort Inn. Any in that area should be fine. From there you just take Celanese Rd west to a right turn on Mt. Gallant Rd. Follow Mt. Gallant right to Ebenezer Park. Nice seafood reataurant, Pier 81, just before you get to the park.

Courtyard by Marriott is a good one too on same exit 82. Google Rock Hill hotel/motels you'll see them.

Wont be long now. Seems like forever but time flies ! Let us get a list started on who we will have the pleasure of fishing with on April 22nd. Hope for a lot of younger fisher men and women. Post your name and how many on your crew. We want to invite all Crappie. Com members , family and friends to this event.Dont be scared to fish a strange lake. It may become a favorite lake for you. We will have the meal almost ready for ya when we get in at 1:00. We have the big shelter right at the ramp. Folks will be helping those that have never fished Wylie. I think we gonna have a good bite for this event. It is a two state lake. And they DO NOT honer the other state license. Make sure you are where you should be for your license. We are contacting a few folks about things needed. That way we will have it there. A donation jar will be available for your Thanks. We got a ton of prizes ready. More coming I hear. We ask that you obey all laws and rules of the state and the park. This is a family event after all. We gonna have a kid's division from tiny up to age 12. I need to have an idea of the number in this category so we can be ready with the trophys. If Stump would get us a sticky on the names and number of folks we should be good to go.Include number of kids and age please. Hope to see many old friends and bunch of new folks.
