Lake Washington and Grenada Mississippi

Shane and I took a road trip to fish some big white crappie lakes and man were they there. Unbelievable the quality and quantity of the fish down there. Here are a few Picts of the trip. We caught 25+ 2 lbs with 15 of them going 2.4 or better.

looks like yall had a ball, how close did yall end up coming to the 3lb mark?

Nice job. Just flew into Jackson, MS today and read your report on the plane. May look this place up on my next trip down in a few weeks.

Why do you have to blur out the last pic?? i was gonna trailer my boat to that exact spot tomorrow!!! :)

nice trip! reminds me many years ago of taking a road trip to reelfoot lake in TN. lots of fun.

Lol. You know the deal. These guys work hard down there to stay on the fish. Whenever someone saw them they laid the boat down put the rods out and headed their way.

The MS Wildlife folks work very hard to produce these genetically large fish and stock them into their lakes. NC wildlife does nothing for us!

Hey, that kind of sounds like what i deal with sometimes on the local lakes! lol

I know Wylie gots some bigguns too. It's just something about a white crappie for me. Them suckers mean.

Don't know where that info came from. As far as I know all the MDWFP does is set the length and creel limits, the corp does the habitat days to give fish the structure needed to protect the fry. Heck, the citizens do more of that on there own. We have the North MS Fish hatchery they produce a wide variety of fish, far as I know all they stock in a few big lakes area few Magnolia Crappie. Most are sent elsewhere, no there is no large crappie cloning device as far as I know, we just happen to have very fertile lakes and a long growing season and a lot of locals who work hard to keep structure in these lakes.

Some real hogs. Nice fish, too.

We brought home over 30 pounds of fillets!

Who was your guide at Grenada Lake? I'll be back down this way a few times over the next couple of months and I would like to give this a try.

Great pictures

If we get more than six we will just get two cabins! It is worth the trip! I wish I would have done this year's ago!

yall taking your own boat next year?

No we will still just go out with these guys. It is so much easier just driving down in the truck and taking just coolers and cloths. Plus the entertainment from these guys is priceless. All we do is wake up walk out the door and step on the boat. These guys are on the fish so might as well just start catching and not have to look. Like I said before the entertainment is a blast!
