Thinking about going to the catfish camp and fish for bream then come back and fry them up on he river bank. Was talking to my two brothers about this so we are going to try some time in March to make it happen. we are three old men 66, 67, 69 so we do things slow.

I am looking forward to this fish fry I have ate catfish stew to squirrel bog fried deer liver and a mess of other stuff on the river bank. I love it can't never get enough of it.

The Wateree River fish fry will happen on April 12 & 13 we will fry what we catch on the 12 and spend the night and take home what we catch on the 13. From my understanding it was going to be four of us but I have been told the gentlemen that let us use their cabin for camping will come and fish also and be part of the fish fry. That is OK with me.

Level of the Wateree is bouncing so that will effect my camp trip it needs to reside to at least 8 foot the roads in the swamp need to dry out so they will be passable. When it gets to a nice level they keep letting water out at the dam which is not good for the camp trip. So will be watching it close Monday and Tuesday then make a decision to extend the date out for a week. Instead of 12 and 13 shoot for 19 and 20th of April.OH WELL
The Wateree River fish fry will happen on April 18 & 19 we will fry what we catch on the 18 and spend the night and take home what we catch on the 19. Leave out in the Morning for some good Bream and Bass fishing also we will set out a few set hooks for the catfish.
I ain't far behind yawl in age and we did that Easter weekend ......man is it fun to kick back and ketch some river fish and fry them up that day ......have fun yawl,be safe and carry some tums .....
Caught 45 bream and had a great fish fry and grits eggs and sausage for breakfast the next morning fished for catfish on catch and release for a little while then homeward bound.
