As long as I've fished Sardis, I should have this memorized but don't. Looking for what lake levels need to be for each ramp to access with some reasonable certainty of not running aground.
Is the first main ramp on the bottom lot at holiday lodge accessible at around 245? I know you kind of have to follow the ditch out but what level does it hit the bottom ramp of that lot? I was thinking 245 or so and then 250 for the next ramp. The one's at the bottom lot.

COE level for Teckville listed on the Sardis Lake site is 255.00. However, that doesn't take into account some silting. That was elevation when the lake was built.
There are two concrete ramps out on the point 1/4 mile or so in front of the lower ramp at Holiday you can use now. Well only one is usable the other is kinda up ended itself and is sticking up 18 inches or so on the front out of the sand (talk about a prop and lower unit killer). There were three trucks and trailers launched from there Saturday. Level was at 240.5 then, it will have to get to 245 - 247 or so if I had to guess to launch comfortably from the lower ramp into the channel, even then will need to know the channels pretty good.

I would bet they're all outdated. The best way to really determine the elevation is go to the bottom of the ramp when ramp is dry and take a waypoint with my Garmin Etrex. I like to go out of Hurricane and single pole the timber during spawn. I need to go over to Hurricane now and take a reading!

Didn't even think about getting the elevations of the ramps until today. This question about ramps to launch comes up every winter when we get ancy to get on the water! Guess I need to make that my project for Payback. I should've done it in December!:banghead
I need to look on my Garmin. I know years ago when we had the drought. I marked the lower ramp at Teckville. And a johnboat was all that could unload then. And you were way out past the point before you could turn. The ditch was filled in back then. They dig it out a few years ago. We were putting in at 5am. And still would be a line of boats trying to get out to Coontown. But man the fishing was sure good that spring. We started catching them the third week of Feb.And did not stop until July.
