Nice. Sure was a beautiful day!
Nice mess of fish there!
nice ones! wtg!
Heck yea...nice job.
Good looking box of crappie, I've been trying to hit the river all winter. Haven't been able to get close since early December with the water levels.

great mess
I'm new to Indiana and having lived in western Colorado for the last 27 years I need help finding and catching Crappie. Any help with more specific locations like "the Ohio river" It's long. Not asking for honey holes just a little help. Thanks in advance.
Where are you located? I could probably point you in the right direction. I have a lot of experience on the Markalnd, Mcalpine, and Cannelton pools. The river is a fabulous resource that is intimidating. These three pools a very easily navigated. Just keep a mindful eye on current and wind conditions. It can throw up some mighty rollers if it gets right.
I live near the McAlpine pool and I'll tell you this, until you've been out on the river a couple of times with someone that knows it and can share their knowledge of it be EXTREMELY careful as it can turn on you in a heart beat and don't go alone.
Just my opinion, but then because of it I won't even go on the Ohio myself, but that's just me.WEAR YOUR P.F.D.

Nice mess of crappie
Went to my spot on the river yesterday and not a single crappie. Spots were stacked up though, and I cant leave biting fish. So nailed 30 or so. The river can produce crappie, and some days they have vanished.
