Have wanted to fish Rend for a long time. Thinking about coming over last week of March. Is there any hotels close with boat parking. Need one that we can charge batteries. Any information will be appreciated.

Lake Cove Resort
Yep lake cove hotel is nice. Fenced in boat parking lot with electric plug in. Bait shop right next to it. Also restaurant gas station right there too.
Thanks guys I will definitely check them out. I love to go to different lakes. It is only 2 1/2 hrs from me. Have went past it several times and always say one day I will try it. Even drove right past it to go fishing in Mississippi
You won't regret it! Check with the guys at LakeZone tackle across the street from
the motel for tips and you might run into a couple of the guides picking up bait for
the day. We found them to be somewhat helpful with info. When you go -STICK "EM!!
Tight Lines - Dave
Got to make some calls to see if I can find someone that can go. I would like to have someone to fish with. As soon as I can I will be makeing reservations
there is a fish cleaning station at the bait shop, very friendly people there.
I usually stay in campgrounds I have a lance camper and can tow boat and have camper. I did stay at rend lake cabin in the woods a couple years back. We were only ones there on a thanks giving weekend. I think it was $125 a night it was nice though. Had kitchen and tv. It is on south west side. While the state park is free sometimes wind is not good for launching on east side. That trip it was windy we trailered boat to different parts of lake.
only been to lake four times. I liked fall Bette then spring. Went in march one year basically got skunked The three trips in fall oct nov and dec were great fishing. Always do better on jigs then minnows there
don't forget, rend lake resort is closed, including boat launches. not sure about camp grounds by resort
Got reservation made today. We will be there on March 27,28,29 and 30. Thanks for the advice, the guy I talked to at Lake Cove was real nice and helpful. Can't wait to finally get to fish Rend.
Lake cove is very nice motel, beds are very comfy. Easy access to many launches
Easy access is one reason I picked it. With a bait shop right there and a secure place to put the boat sealed the deal. Price is good also. Now if the fish will cooperate we are set.
Great crappie lake
watch out for the stumps, they are everywhere
We will definitely watch for stumps. Need to figure out where to launch and start out fishing. Last thing I need is to break something.
Launch at sail boat marina off Hwy 154, get the gps from corps of engineers website. Have a blast. The bridges on 154 are good place to start
Pepper
Thanks pepper I appreciate the advise. Will definitely get gps locations and a good map.
Gun Creek ramp is nice, I havn't hit anything there yet. Also within eye sight of bridges. Jackie branch has nice ramp, it's a pay ramp, that ticket allows access to any pay ramp. south side of bridges fairly safe, when you get north of gun creek becareful
Thanks Bassing we are staying close to gun creek. That sounds like a good spot.
