Gluten has become an issue have some gluten free fry mixes that are good. Wondered if anyone has a mix for baking fish. Tried baking them in the fry mix, could be better.

My wife and nephew have gluten allergies so I also am looking for a few recipes

I am not sure about frying, but try and replace regular flour in a fry recipe with Bob's Mills GF. It works well for baking.
I just bake the filets though. Leave the skin and scales on, cover in melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. 20min @ 400F
The meat should fall off of the skin when done. Can put it on rice, mash some potatoes or buy some GF noodles if you need a carb.
Oil pan blackened?
look into zatarain's fish fry if you want to fry. I am told it is gluten free

Thanks for the tips. If I find something that works well for baking that is delicious I will repost.

Zatarains Fish Fri Seasoned Breading mix is gluten freeAttachment 259361
I use it for frying fish. But when I bake them it is not what I call real good. Thanks though. Going to give the g free flours a try. We have a few brands of that. This gluten free cooking is hard to find flavor that is as good as what we were used to.:dono
good stuf
I don't know if you have tried it, but I would go for "Schar" brand bread crumbs. Dry the fillets then lightly coat in olive oil. Season salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. I bake em at 425 for 15 minutes and finish them off with a quick broil (3-5 min) to put a good crust on the top.
I use the baked Parmesan crappie recipe posted by longhorn on this page(thanks longhorn) but use Rice Krispies ground up in the blender instead of bread crumbs. Cut some taters into fries warm up the cooking sheet toss fries in olive oil put into oven 15 minutes before the fish. Flip fries before you put in the fish and 15 minutes later everything's done enjoy!!
