Pick your dates, rent a cabin at state park at Enid or motel in Batesville. That way you can fish any of 3 lakes. Stay tuned to here for reports and watch weather reports for which one is doing the best.
Late March through April, it's a crap shoot
theysaidbest to stay in the middle. Never know when one lake will be hot and the others will be cold. Weather is always a big factor as well. Beware of the winds!
Anytime is good from now forward.
Here's my advice...I think the last two weeks of March thru the first week of April would be the best on Sardis, Enid, or Grenada.
Weather is the big factor. A west or north west wind is the worst for these lakes. And I must warn you do not take a chance on the wind on these lakes, every year it seems a fisherman loses his life on one of these lakes.
Talk to the guys here, and follow the boats, and you will catch fish.

Thanks guys for the input, I understand about the crap shoot when it comes to fishing. They turn on and turn off for no obvious reason here also. They have been on fire here for the last month. Just no big ones.
IMO just wait and come in the summer months,I can promise one of the lake will be good and weather is a lot more predictable.Plus the crowded are not bad then.
Can you still catch big fish during the summer months?
They won't be stuffed with eggs but there are still a lot of big big fish caught!
Big fish get caught year round here. Everybody comes in the spring when it's a crap shoot. But I understand because I like wade fishing more than any of it. But springs not the most productive for me. I'd say a summer time fish weighs 75% of her future February weight. Don't let that stop u though. I had 7 fish this past June right at 17 lbs. Thats as big as they get!

I get tickled when I see post like this. If anyone could accurately predict the best week and lake to fish it probably could be very lucrative. I figure if I take 4 weeks off to fish, about half might be good days weather wise to fish during the spring accounting mostly for wind. Out of the other two weeks, its hit or miss on fish actually biting very good. My general consensus is the weather and all is more consistently good after Easter going forward. But I've scrapped ice off the windshield in April also. Fish can be caught at any time of the year. A matter of just finding them when hungry.
At Sardis, if the wind is 8 MPH plus coming out of west/east, its tough to get where fish are depending on when fishing. 8 MPH will probably be 18 MPH on the lake! Just saying. Biggest challenge for me is always weather and not finding fish.

Use closest ramp to part of lake you target on windy days!!! The reservoirs get to rockin and will come in the transoceanic quickly!!! A Big lake boat can get into trouble!! I have been on rescue craft made for the Great Lakes with 200 plus inboard engines. At time dropped into waves and could se SWELLS out the bow!!! Watch Deadliest catch on tv to have the concept understood!!! Scared
our search party!!! That was back in spring of 1987 on Sardis!!! Larry Hall captained the vessel!!!!!
Thanks for the warning, Kentucky lake is like that also,it will be nice and calm one minute then a summer storm rolls through there will be swells so big all you can see is a wall of water I was fairly young the first time I experience this it was a good thing that I was going the same direction the wind was blowing I was able to ride the waves kind a like a surfboard. So I am very cautious when it comes to being on the water. I go to the Detroit River and Lake Erie every spring those bodies of water gets very rough quickly also .
