Thanks folks.
I don't know why I'm so much more apprehensive about this surgery than all the others I've had done. 2 cervical fusions, 4 right shoulder rotator cuff, etc, etc. I just don't remember being as concerned with them. I've talked to lots of folks who have had knee replacements with zero problems and they were back on their feet in a couple of weeks. My surgeon prays at his patient's bedsides before surgery and that gives me hope. I'll text one of the guys once I'm back in the real world so the word can be passed on.
Got to get my surgical scrub shower then to Murray at 9.
Then................I'm off to see the wizard (my smart-*** comment just before I go out from anesthetic). Talk to you later.
One more thing----should the worst happen, in the words of Wiskers----Don't let my wife sell all my fishing stuff for what I TOLD HER I paid for it!
Thinking of you buddy I will call you later in the week.
Praying for you Doug!
Best of luck to you in your procedure. Being a "like to be in control guy" I know it's always an anxious time for me whenever I am being put under for surgery.
Praying for you that all will go well and you'll have a great recovery and outcome.
Is this why you had the steps added to the tongue of your boat trailer? :dono
Prayers sent. Hope for a fast recovery.
Praying for a speedy recovery , get well soon Doug.
Just heard from Vicki (Doug's better half) and he is out of surgery. All went well and now the PT starts. Keep praying - for him and the PTA who has to put him through the therapy.
Good news. The healing and patience from here on out is the key! Stay strong Doug. And Mrs. Vicki, do whatever means necessary to keep him in line!

Hang in there I had mine done in January 2015, wow what a ride it was for the first five weeks, all I can tell you is therapy, therapy, therapy, keep that knee moving!!! I have a gravity feed ice pack, you place ice/ water in the round cooler, place it above your knee on a table or end table, wrap it with the Velcro Pad it, feeds ice water to the knee wrap and it works great, Beats the heck out of messing with ice packs, bought it on Amazon after doing some research. let me know if you need it, I'm in Cadiz, you are more then welcome to have it, best thing I bought!!! Need any other advice on how to get over the hump, let me know.
