Welcome aboard
And there goes the neighborhood!
Welcom aboard Aaron.
And now everyone is scratching their heads and saying "how does he know him"
I should have asked him about it this morning when I talked to him online!
Hey! A 5 star thread rating for a new member!!!!!! Can't wait to hear who he is:ThumbsUp
Welcome to the site
Hi All, & Thanks for the Welcome, I will fill in some blanks for those wondering who I am...... lol
Yeah, I was invited by Ready2Fish, & I know of from online conversations, WickerlundRH.
Long story short, I saw a post (Another Forum) from Ready2Fish about Boat versatility, I let he know he was welcome to come see mine, layout, rigging etc, as it was the same make, model, but 2 years older.
Ready2Fish is only about 9 minutes away from my house, we do not live very far from each other.
He came over, we went over the boat, and his new boat, and a friendship was built.
In the mean time unknown to me, I had struck up some conversation with WickerlundRH about Fishing Rods, Jigging at the Detroit River, USMC (My Son was in the USMC at the time) So an online friendship was built over the last year or two.
Well, later last summer, I sent Ready2Fish a text, said, Hey, want to try Lake Michigan for some Salmon? Sure thing, and away we went......
Started out rough going 03/ but ended up 4/7. Thought to myself Geez, Here I was saying how much I liked this, and fun, and we have lost 3 fish. Actually I lost the first two, and then was like, NOPE, Next one is Jim's, Rod went to him and we lost that one too...... (So I know now, it was not an issue with just me) Then I didn't feel as bad, Here I was kind of the "New Guy" had bragged a bit a bit how much I like Salmon fishing, and had caught fish, and started out 0/3! Then we racked off the next few for a good day, and some Salmon to eat.
While on the boat we are talking about forums, fishing locations, etc, and he says, Yeah, I know a guy WickerlundRH, I was like HUH? No Kidding? I just ordered some Jigs from him, and talk to him online.
So on a small boat, it was determined that its a small world.......
About myself, I'm almost (cough 50) 48
Married 23 Years now, I have 4 Children, 23, 17, 13, 11 Two Boys, and Two Girls, in that order.
My Oldest is now home form the USMC permanently, and will be headed to the Detroit River for Walleye with me for his first time this year. Then a local lake for some Crappie, then Lake Mi, for Salmon, then Barry County State Game area for Whitetail.
My second son is in his Senior year, and his Senior year of High School Wrestling. That right there consumes all my winter time. He is accomplished and well trained, and will do well, and looking to wrestle already in College.
In the mean time, records @ school are going to fall, and he will be breaking them, so I am anywhere he goes until the end of march.
Last week I was going to go to Novi for the Fishing Show, but the Wrestling Tournament in Byron (Fenton) did not end until 8:45pm. That's how my Saturdays go often.
If I do not reply, or do not check in, Its not that I'm ignoring anyone, its just the I am BUSY. Which reminds me, I need to finish the hog roaster before the graduation this summer & more importantly I need to fix the hot water heater tonight. Yeah, I'm a Guy, not legendary yet, but working on it.
Here is a photo from our Salmon Trip, & I have no idea why its sideways.........
I added a photo of some 16 inch crappie I got last fall as well. (This is a Crappie Forum after all) & I have no Noobie Idea why that one is sideways either.
Be forewarned, Ill fish with anyone, but its dangerous, I have Polish Ancestry..... I'm not what you would call "Normal" :)

Nice to meet you!
First off, tell your son thank you for his service, I will always be indebted to those who serve.
It sounds like you are busy which is good, I miss the days when my kids were involved in High School sports.
Being Polish is a good thing, I married one!
And there you go! Indeed the world is a small place!
I still think my fish was bigger, lol
Two Words..... Photo Shopped!........:Rofl
Wait or is that one?
Always comparing something!!!
16" crappie!!! I like you all ready. And X2 on thanking your son for his service.
I think so too Jimmy...looks like your 'bout to bust a nut there by the looks on your face. :Rofl
Good to meet you and welcome. If you can handle Jim, you'll fit right in with the rest of us! Hope to meet ya in person soon.
