Bluegill bugs
https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...3a&oe=58D75FA3Some weighted nymphs / scud I tied this week for the coming bluegill season. I fish them as float & flies during the spawn here. They are made with antron yarn bodies and micro ice chenille thorax. they are tie on 10, 12 and 14 scud hooks and have some lead wire wrapped on the hook shaft. They probably weigh about 1/100 oz.

Those are nice, I bet they get bit.:ThumbsUp

You are in business, great looking jigs/flies.

Great looking bugs. I know a spot that I could wear the yarn off of one or two of those.

Very nice jigs, and that 10 cent piece looks good too ....:highfive

Nice bugs. These yankee gills would tear them up.

Great looking jigs, I might have to tie some of those!!

Really nice. I'll bet those bugs will catch more than just bluegills. I'm with Redge on tying up some. Thanks for sharing.

it's so much fun aint it?and you don't need a fly rod.a foam spider 2 feet behind a small round bobber works better at times than just the fly.i tie my micro jigs and flies barbless to make it easier on me and the fish but i use barbed hooks for my friends and family so they can tip them on their float and fly rigs.we are all fishing bugs just in different ways.i am just addicted to the flyrods myself

I really like these jig also. Going to try some myself. 123Stitch.com has the micro ice chenille on sale right now. Not bad pricing and shipping is reasonable. Pop

Thanks for all you guys kind words. I forgot to mention what the tails are made of. I used Senyo's Shaggy Dub for the first time as tailing material and I thought it really worked well on these guys. It is very small diameter and tough.
