Wouldn't have a clue, but the experts will be here shortly...
don't know anything about nautical bay boat. but they do make nautic star bay boats in amory,ms. they are a good boat. I fish out of a nautic star 2110. I looked up nautical bay n didn't find anything
Spell check got me. It was nautic star bay.
Hit something with my boat looks like I need a hull. May upgrade
waiting on insurance
well I like I said I have a 2110 nautic star. love it. no trouble at all. what I really like is if the lake gets bad you can safely get back in. have been on sardis when it got pretty bad and never was concerned. user friendy. and when my wife wants to go to gulfshores I just slide the rod holders off and the boat goes with us. the boat is holding up really good. we have no complaints
I have an Excel Bay Pro 203 with 140 Suzuki 4 stroke. I would by another one in a heartbeat and I'd buy it from Bill at Big River Marine (BRM). If I get a larger garage built soon and my guide business continues to take off, I'll be on an Excel Bay Pro 220 with a Suzuki 200 in a couple of years.
What's top speed on that excell dux
Been in contact with Bill. Waitn on insurance now. Almost stroked when I got estimate.
I would also check out the Skeeter Bay boats. Would love to have one but I don't want to spend that kinda $ at the moment.

skeeter does makes a good bay boat. I had a big metal bay boat and loved it once I got where I was going. Tons of room to fish. Getting out there and moving was rough though. U can't just pick the pretty calm days when u work all week and want to fish the weekend. I looked around off and on for about a year and found a used 20 ft skeeter bay with 90 hours. It's night and day difference on how well they ride in rough water. I think u will start seeing more and more of this style boat because of that.
Hate to hear about your boat. I've known a couple folks with nautic bays. They were pretty nice. Lots of thought went into them before I got my current boat.

Lee, if you're looking for a glass bay boat, take a peek at the Rangers. I know a guy that can hook you up on one. [emoji4]
Lee, I run a Nautic Star 2110 bay boat and absolutely Love it. They are well built and give you a dry ride. I fish speckled trout and red fish in Louisiana several times a year and have been in some big waves and never had a problem. In lakes like Weiss it fishes like a bass boat. Great boat to guide out of. I did a lot of looking and research when I boat mine. I looked a Ranger, Skeeters and tritons. For the price I don't think you will beat it. They are all fiberglass boats have have same waranty as a Ranger for way less money. If I boat another boat today it would be a Nautic Star. I might go up to a 24 because of my addiction to salt water fishing but I would still go with Nautic Star. Several Dealers in Ala. I know there is one in Gadsden, Wedowee, Gulf Shores and Mobile.
Nautic stars are nice! You know what ones I like better though. The skeeter is a good one too.

Check out Pro Gator Gator Bay boats. I just bought the 2410.
If you buy an aluminum bay boat, do yourself a favor and look for the pad ride hulls. They make a huge difference in the way they ride in ROUGH water. Learn the difference in the hull designs BEFORE you buy.
Down to Nautic bay, skeeter or ranger. Really leaning toward glass now. I want a better ride on my home lake in rough water.
Then put the horses on it, whatever you get max it out .
Wanted to stick with a 150 rees
I have a 150 on mine, Lee. It does just fine
Do what you got to do man, never heard one person regret maxxing one out, can't count the times I've heard folks regret that they didn't max out.
Having a big glass ride will be a major difference in ruff water but you got to be able to push it, you make some pretty long runs man and over time it will matter.
Either way, just an opinion man. Good luck finding a rig.
I with you speedy Gonzalo's (Rees). Lol. I have just found some deals on leftovers with 150 yamis. I found a skeeter SX 210 12 grand off Msrp. But they want full pop with ordering a new one that has a 200. It will run mid 40 that's as fast as my last boat.
I run 20 plus miles each way some days
I know how much you run, on good days with the 200 you can cruise at 4000 rpms running the same speed the 150 will push it at full throttle. On the bad days having the power is priceless, whether it's nose down and plowing through the rollers or having enough to get on top and ride from one swell to the next, ruff water performance is about horsepower plain and simple.
I cant speak for the 150 but I have a 175 Suzuki on a nautic star 2110 and it will run 53 and have been in some rough water both here on the big four and also in gulf . she did great. I don't know what the money difference is in the three boats but you cant go wrong with either one.
I had my 2015 Xpress demo rigged with a 150. Had been running a 200 on the previous (2014) demo. Went back to a 200 ASAP on the 16 demo!!! Never looking back now. No comparison as far as performance in the ruff stuff. BUT, if you already own a 150, use it. You can always upgrade at a later date, or after you get it sold. Really easy to re power with the same brand engine.
Lee, I'll get you a price on a Ranger. Mine will be a 17 model though. No carry overs, which are ok to buy if you find a great deal on one.
Just a FYI for new engine buyers. The Yamaha VF175 SHO is only 200.00 more than the 150 SHO. If your boat is rated for a 175 or bigger, it's a no brainer to spend the extra money on the 175 if you're not going to max it out.
Dang. Talked me into
upgrading motor. Lol
Checked. Performance bulletin. It's showing 52 top speed
I have a hard time catching fish going that fast. Jerks their lips off
