I think your friend is right. At Cumberland if it has not changed it has different zones and a permit is needed for each zone.
One call, that's all- to be safe!!
Don't know if they're still doing it now , on Cumberland the Corp use to supply anchor materials.
They would even let you cut a big tree if you followed their rules.

OK I read the post again.
I think kfw controls green
It's been my experience Corp personnel are very helpful and easy to deal with
I'm in the lake Cumberland office about once a year
Thanks everyone for your input talked to the core of engineers today an got the green light!
