Woody's no secret

Went out to lake Woodruff today with 40 plus other boats, & with Woody's reputation for big fish, it did not disappoint. My scale tells me 1 was 1lb 14oz & another was 1lb 12oz, but these fish were thick & measured a little over 2 1/2" wide. Caught around 25 & kept a few "catch of the day" for dinner. They shut down pretty abruptly at 10:30 & there is a lot of floaters & debris in the water, was constantly cleaning lines. Good texting with ya Andy, next time we got to get a bite to eat for lunch...he fished the river & had a beauty early on himself...well back to the grind tomorrow...

Nice fish!. Sorry I could not get myself to get out this morning. Glad yall had a good morning.

Yessir, but mostly was just plum wore down and tired. But in a good way.

Well Jeff, I had one of those days. Started out went passed my turn to Highland Park and headed to Tedders. By the time I get to the right launch I was late, I really hate being late. Launch the boat and started out the canal, oh crap forgot to lock my truck, putt back in lock the truck and head out again. When I was half way out of the canal this time I looked down..........where's my fishing rods.................back to my truck get my rods now I am really late and frustrated
Only caught 5 just could not concentrate with all the frustration.
Then there was all the boat traffic, holy crap everyone and their brother was out yesterday.

Yes sir it was crazy yesterday, Beresford area was the same way. Someday's it just happens like that, nothing goes right.

Dang it man! You must have been excited for sure, both before and after. Hate to hear ya had troubles.

No worries, was just a recon trip anyway, would have liked to talk to Jeff at the launch in the morning. Went up stream in the Norris dr before I left. Nothing but did get to play with a manatee and her calf. They were all over the boat snooting the motor and wanting their backs scratched that made my day. They can be so curious sometimes maybe one I had played with in the past she kept surfacing and looking at me don't know what she was thinking, makes you wonder sometimes. Or maybe she just couldn't believe how ugly humans really are.
Well it's back to work tomorrow for me, I think I'm the only person who prays for cold and crapy weather for their vacation, oh well maybe next year.

Dang Andy, sounds like we should of meet up for Bloody Marys for lunch, thought you was the smart 1 with the pic of that nice 1 you netted early, with the peacefulness of the river & not having boats hovering in a area because ya you pulled a fish up.

You guys all had a good day. I gotta get a real job that actually lets me off now and then. Everyone found a few anyway and sounds like a better day than I had.
