Plastics
Both!
Mostly plastic but just had a friend ty me some feathers I'm going to try tomorrow
And hair.
Both. It depends on what I'm doing. I troll with plastics almost 100% but the finesse presentations get feathers a lot of the time.
There is only 1 lake in central Florida where feathers out-fished plastics, Lake Russell. Biggest Slab I have ever seen came off that lake, 3.4lb. The guy would use a 2 pole system, one had a big hook taped on the end and he would use it to reach back on the water hyacinth mat and pluck one out of the way and use the other pole to jig a No-Alibi Pee Wee. Wish I could still access that lake.

I had always used plastics until about a year ago. Now I incorporate some hand tied feather jigs into my swath and I'm liking the results. They don't always produce as many fish, but for some unknown reason they have produced some SLABS!
Plastics mainly but I aint skeered to put on a hair or feather jig!!
marabou mostly with barb removed to make releasing shorts easier, they last 10 times longer than plastics where I fish .can't say which catches the most fish but marabou is less of a hassle. may give florida crappie a try next week lake tarpon.
Plastic, because l'm cheap. I get em from Southern Pro curly tails and tubes by the hundreds. Some days single polling I may go through 30 or more so I need cheap.
To go cheap buy 10 pack 1/8 oz. johnsons marabou jigs at Walmart or farm store for1.50 and coat chenille on jigs with a thin coat of hot glue or super glue .one jig will catch 200 or more crappie before falling apart.
I tied these up to try in the river on the fly rod the next trip. Attachment 254957
All of the above. Hair, plastic, feather (both hackle and marabou)
