They must also have some type of light on them so that other fisherman can see em and won't get hooked by them....:fish

Ok, sorry I posted the wrong thing. I looked on the website but never found it.
You have to read the small print too...
They oughta be outlawed on Washington. JMHO
Yo Yo's are for meat fishing. If anyone needs fish that bad, they should stay home and buy some instead of spending the money to travel and rent a room for it. [emoji4]
I don't see em being outlawed anywhere, I can see them having to be attended but outlawed no.
Maybe not outlawed everywhere but I was referring to Lake Washington. Small lake and the volume of fish take out of there has in my opinion created a problem. I know I'm not alone in saying that Washington needs a break from yo yo's and the limit needs to be lowered. I'm not talking about out of staters either, I'm talking about everyone, locals included. I think the locals do more harm than the Oosers do. They hammer it day in and day out.
To each his own. That's just my opinion and we all know about opinions. [emoji4]
But when you take away one person's style of fishing you put the other styles in danger as well. to outlaw them would be a huge stepping stone to outlaw other ways of fishing, be careful what you wish for and I dare say that WAY more fish are taken out of Lake Washington spider rigging, WAY more!!!!! It's a heck of a fishery that has received a lot of attention as of late, thank Crappie Masters for a lot of that, just the same was Grenada has with one difference, Washington never misses a spawn and has a way of producing a huge shad population.
Single polers don't like trollers, trollers don't like yoyos, and dock owners at Eagle don't want nobody fishing THEIR dock and the list goes on, can't we all just get along???????
I worked FER the Ol Game an Fish FER 30 years!!!! The RIGHT person loose an EYE and it will be outlawed fer awhile. That was how the reservoirs got the old cotton leader on sport trotline law. The right PERSON suffered a loss in the DELTA!!!!
We tried!!!!

Lately I am just proud the Lord gave me another day to spend on the water..We can legislate ourselves out of existence...and still some will use and abuse...if it is a legal method, and you abide by the rules..Then go and enjoy your day....
Agree with BRM. Should be controlled better.
Can catching a crappie in that manner really be fun? I've been with people who ran limb lines for cats and did not get much excitement from it. I agree with BRM, meat fishing
I think everyone here IS getting alone. We're just voicing our opinions in a Civil manner. Without conversations like this, nobody has any mortar between their bricks to stick together for a common cause.
My opinions are strictly mine and are not intended to sway anyone else. Rather they are posted to find the people with the same concerns. Whatever the game and fish decide is what we'll all have to live with anyway.
It's everyone's decision as to how they will deal with this on a personal basis. I choose to release most all of the fish I catch while pre fishing or tourney fishing. That may not be the next guys choice tho. If ya need em Eat Em. I don't think that many people really need them as bad as they act like they do however. If they did, they couldn't afford to go far from home to catch them. The money they spend would buy lots of fish and groceries. [emoji4]
Amen, BRM. I drive dang near 5 hours several times a year for the PRIVILEGE of fishing Washington. AND, a few more times annually for the same privilege at Enid. Jus cause I COULD catch a limit doesn't mean I feel OBLIGATED to. I'll fish till I'm tired, keep 5-8 gooduns and release most others, while hoping to meet some of yawl in the process for good conversation and fellowship. If a feller is lookin for much more than that, ya oughta check your self out!!! Now there....that's my .02. lol
This thread reminds me of something Donnie has said, "Wannabe is Ugly!!"
Be sure not to touch those things are dangerous!!! So far as trotlines my dad would catch crappie for catfish bait!!! Everyone to his own!!! Folks will shoot you for running their equipment!!!!
Years ago I use to carry about 10 yoyo's in my boat. I'd put them out in the area that I was fishing, and could see them and keep them baited. I'm a responsibly person and respect the law, and no body is gonna make me feel bad for fishing yoyo's if I choose to do so. I do hate to see yoyo's hanging with dead dried crappie on them, and it pisses me off, but you shouldn't throw the baby out with bath water either. There is not enough fish and game officer's to catch these guys that are bad. We fisherman need to get off our butts and help, call in on the outlaws of our lakes. I have cut yoyo's before that were not attended, but I made sure of that before I cut them. Just going out and start cutting yoyo's is not a good idea, you better know for sure what your dealing with. I agree with the other post, careful what you wish for, we have enough laws on us already....
I would not cut anyone else's yoyos or lines unless they have got me hung up and then I only cut them if they are old or unmarked (talking about lines now cause I have never messed with anyone elses yoyos). If I came upon someone other than Mr. Green Jeans messing with my yoyos I had bought and paid for I would press charges. Guys these are public lakes, managed by the State, best leave it to the State boys to do such.
Speck beat me to it wannabe is in fact ugly
