Got into some nicely colored bluegill today. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet using a Major Craft FineTail Banshee Area Tout rod using 2# test line. Had a lot of fun today...caught around 2 dozen of these.

those are pretty for this time of year .....all of ours pretty much lost color in this area
I don't remember catching Gills with colors so vivid. This time of year the colors are usually pale. Maybe it is the late start to cold weather...don't really know but was looking at one I had tossed back in the water one day last week and it was just laying there for a second and I was looking at it to make sure it was going to swim off...and it did...but I really noticed then just how bright the colors were. So made a mental note to take pics next time I got into them.
