Ok, I've just been painting my heads in the cup the paint comes in, it works good but.....
I'm about ready to move up to a fluid bed! Thinking a 2 inch single with multiple cups for each color!
Who has the best product and prices?

Both are good. I have some of both. I use the 1 1/2 from simply crappie most. Takes less paint but have sever 2 in and like them also. You only need one base but several cups.
I use TJ's. I have the 3 inch beds but I do production on 3/8oz all the way past 1oz.
I too only use one base but purchase cups for every color I run (with the exception of a few custom or odd rare colors). I store mine in the cups all the time and have no issues.

TJ's is a good place to do business with. Good products and quick service.
I have the dual rig from TJ's as it simplifies painting jigs in 2 colors like I do most of the time, like Blue/Chartreuse, Pearl/Chartreuse & Grape/Chartreuse. The 2 active cups really streamline the process. His cups (of which I have 20+) are great too with the diffuser material he uses.
I went ahead and order a single 2 in from TJs and 16 cups!

If I had to do it all again I probably would have bought one from TJ's but I made my own.

He is located in Michigan. No to far from me actually.
Usually, when he gets the order, IF he has the stuff in stock, he will ship it the next day. He doesn't always have all the stuff made up and sitting on the shelf so he might have to build your cups really quickly. He does work a normal 9 to 5 job so that is usually why his stuff goes out the next day (if in stock).
He ships via USPS priority and it usually takes about 2 to 3 days to receive.
I would however assume that he has most his stuff made up because he is getting ready for the outdoors sport show season and usually has a booth at 3 or 4 different places throughout Michigan.
For me, its a no brainer. He is in Michigan, I am in Michigan. His business supports my business!
Yea, he said he was gettin new caps in Friday and would ship Saturday. Should have it by Tuesday!
I've never used a fluid bed, but it looks easy enough!

I run a dual nozzle Tetra 60 air pump that was hooked up to 3 - 2" beds. Didn't even try to save any of the powder just used the vacume cleaner to clean up the mess!!LOL
I have a TJ 2" with 3 cups. Has worked great for years. Somewhere along the line, I had to blow through one cup with compressed air to clear out the bottom membrane. I think it got damp or something.
But I've done jigs from 1/16 all the way to 3 ounces with no issues. Makes life easy, and you definitely use less powder.

To anyone who builds their own fluid bed.....
Did you ever consider using a computer case fan instead of an aquarium pump? I wan't to try and do a build with that, any comments or suggestions?
Russ - 2 things that would have to happen for it to work, will you get enough air flow to roil the powder? and 2 with that will you be able to contro that air flow?
