Curious about how many of you use glow (glow in the dark) plastic baits. This is kinda a weird poll. You can make multiple selections just because of the nature of the question (daytime and night time). Only select one of the DAYTIME answers, and one of the NIGHT TIME answers please. I hope that makes sense.
Only put UV in my baits.
I have used Glow when I fish dirty water , 1-2Ft. Visability . felling it gives a edge but can't prove it. Used to try some glow paint on bass plugs for night fishing, only advantage seem to be finding the lure up in the tree branches.
I use ghost and sunrise mo glo some time.
I can't tell any difference during the day, I can see where it would benefit the night fishermen. :dono
I also occasionally use them during the day if I am fishing muddy and stained water. Glo blue and glow chartreuse work for me.
My answer of never use them is kind a skewed answer. Only cause I have not tried them.
Recently started to use BG Devil's Grin occasionally, but during the daytime. Used to use glow beads for salmon/steelhead fishing at night. Does that count:biggrin

Outlaw Special Is What I use in stained water
I used to use the glow baits somewhat sparingly last few years until my last salmon fishing trip and found that the guys had very good luck with casting glow spoons during daylight hours. So im thinking why not crappie as well. And so last couple years I have been giving the glow baits a fair shot during daylight hours and when the bite slowed with other baits and to my surprise they do work and sometimes have out fished the other baits greatly.

Outlaw is the only glow color I use... I do cast it a lot at night and some during the day... Always seems to catch fish
During our ice season, I use glow baits 100% of the time. They're fantastic under the ice.
I can't see any significant difference between the two

I just started using them some. in piles 20ft plus only tried glo-chartruce
I like to use glow jig heads most of the time, but the bodies I use do not glow.

hdhntr, what they are referring to is GLO is added to the plastic when poured or placed on outside to make the lure actually glow in the dark. I painted some jigging spoons 20years ago and left them in the boat and if I go to the barn after dark they are glowing on the floor under the the steering wheel. Dont know how long they glow beings they are not in the sunlight, just the shade in the barn. dont remember where I bought it some one here may know. try netcrafters or other lure making business. MOO.

I would love for you to field test baits without hooks on the crappie can!! We could see what fish do in different bait offerings. If I lived close I would love to be your field representative for testing!!!!!!
