That's terrible. He always made a point to holler at me at the ramp or on the lake. Always had a smile and offered a hand shake.Great guy. Wish I had taken time to get to know him better.
I can't think of a better way to leave this world--doing something you love and go quickly.

Prayers uplifted for the family and friends.

Oh my. Jerry was always smiling and loved to fish. He enjoyed taking his grandsons out every chance he had. He was OTR truck driver for over 30 years, and I have heard a few of his stories lol. He is from Tennessee but moved to the lakes area when he retired to crappie fish. We lost a good one, God speed and be with his family in this troubling times.

So sorry to hear! I'm glad I got chance to talk with him a few weeks ago! Great Guy! Prayers!
-
I'm crushed! He and I hit it off from day 1! We'd float beside eachother while spider rigging and talk for hours!
I'm at a loss for words right now.
Prayers for the family.

I met Jerry at the boat ramp a few years ago and he was working on his boat trailer, i got to talking to him and he asked me to take him fishing sometime. About a week later i called him and we really caught them that morning, long story short i really made a friend for life. One of the nicest guys ive ever met, and really hurt me when i heard about this.Every time i would see him on the lake he would blame me for all the money he had spent on fishing and then laugh and talk about how much he really loved fishing and never forget the morning that we really caught em. Will miss seeing him at the lake and pray for Jerry and his family.
